You are very welcome. This is my favorite part of the article
"Above all, after eight years out of power and two bitter defeats, Democrats in 1960, like today, wanted a winner - and Kennedy, despite his supposed handicaps, was a winner. On civil rights, the Cuban missile crisis, the race to the moon, and other issues, President Kennedy succeeded by demonstrating the same courage, imagination, compassion, judgment, and ability to lead and unite a troubled country that he had shown during his presidential campaign. I believe Obama will do the same."

The parade of Obama haters are beginning to trickle in. This was an outstanding comparison. It was well written and well done!

I wish I was old enough to remember the Kennedy campaign for being president, that would make a comparisism of the two easier because alot of us respect JFK for what he accomplished as president. Although a fan of Obama it is a long time until the election and if people are looking for change he is going to have to provide some details, change is a nice word and most people are fed up with the status quo but even being from outside your country I have to question the change he is talking about.
I should add that I didn't watch the video because of the time involved to download.

fta:
"How did the Democratic Party get here? How did the party of Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman and John F. Kennedy drift so far from the foreign policy and national security principles and policies that were at the core of its identity and its purpose?"
In whose opinion? They haven't strayed from foreign policy OR security. They are right there with the republicans hand in hand. I hardly see a difference in the two parties these days.
I see a large group of politicians doing what ever they please, and Liebermann is one of them.

Well, being a war baby (WWII for you youngsters who aren't familiar with that term) I can't claim being a young person. But during my years at William and Mary University I did get the opportunity to hear John F. Kennedy give a speech as he was seeking office. I will never forget the inspiration of his words.
Since his brother Bobby was assassinated, I haven't experienced the same sort of call to reawaken the American dream till I listened to Barack Obama.
I know all too well that inspirational speakers can call us to evil as easily as to good. Hitler was an inspirational speaker too. But I have listened very carefully to what Barack Obama is calling Americans to do. He is no Hitler. He is cut from the same cloth as John and Robert Kennedy.
The color of the cloth or the church it is hung in has nothing to do with its true nature. Look to its warp and woof. Obama is one in a generation.
