Yep ... I saw it all coming as soon as Bush was 'declared' the winner in 2000.
I was always against the war and I was always suspicious that he and his white house cronies were lying, long before the truth started to surface.
The thousands of dead soldiers, the tens of thousands of permanently wounded soldiers, the hundreds of thousands of soldiers with permanent depression and PTSD, the hundreds of thousands of soldiers facing bankruptcy or that are homeless -- all of that death and suffering (not to mention the hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis) is all the result of lies that were used to start a totally unjustified war.
Bush is, without a doubt, the worst president in the history of this country.
And our Congress - both Democrats and Republicans - are accessories to the crimes of the White House by NOT doing anything about it.

If we continue with American imperialism, we're done as a nation. Truly are. And two things coming at us. We're going to be irrelevant in the world. You see this in foreign affairs when you see all these other countries making arrangements by themselves; don't even invite us to the meeting. Why? We come to a meeting; we think we know it all. We're the superpowerâ;;you've got to listen to us.

W and Co. are imperialists who have no understanding of empire. Empires are not conquered. They rot from within. The soviets collapsed because they could not juggle their economy any more while the people saw what the west had and demanded th same.
No doubt we have an empire. We are one of few countries that knows it cannot be invaded. W can put a stronger military on top of a ship than many countries military's. We control many countries with promises of aid or threatening to support a coup. At the same time our country and people are bankrupt. Education costs are soaring, gas prices are rising, the dollar is falling, healthcare costs are soaring, health coverage is falling. Bankrupcy is rising. New homes are falling. We have been rotting from within and if we dont elect someone who will change course we will be like the Titanic. Saw the problem but by the time they did it was too late.

A few weeks ago, my wife and I flew from New York's Kennedy Airport to Singapore. In J.F.K.'s waiting lounge we could barely find a place to sit. Eighteen hours later, we landed at Singapore's ultramodern airport, with free Internet portals and children's play zones throughout. We felt, as we have before, like we had just flown from the Flintstones

The oil producing countries are increasingly looking "east" (as are American companies), to the expanding economies in Asia, as their future market. We need to adjust to this changing world, instead of enforcing the old one: the days are gone when these countries were either the USA's bitch or the USSR's.

Bush has been lame for 7-years (at least). Now he's a lame duck president.
So is Bush now lame squared?
Inquiring minds could care less.

I wouldn't count him out yet. If things don't change by around September he might need to invade Iran. Just because he is a lame duck and has a dismal approval rating does not mean he can't make another. Actually if he is like earthquake fault he is overdue for another big tremor like Katrina. We can only hope he makes the next 8 months without screwing something big up.
