I wonder what result they would have got if they also asked the sample who they would like as president without limiting the choice to the two actual candidates.
Colin Powell, perhaps?
Was he falling on his sword for Bush in the run-up to the Iraq invasion? Did they have some "leverage" with him?
The least likely possibility is that he actually believed the BS that he was spouting.
