"It's an awfully weak position for the McCain campaign and the Republicans to be in months out from the election, already blaming me for their loss."

Bob Barr has the potential to be the "spoiler" of 2008. He is unlikely to gain very many - if any - defections from Barack Obama. But he is likely to lose the election for John McCain in several "purple" states. And on that score, I am pulling for him all the way!

Georgia seems the most likely of the truly red states to be lost by McCain due to Barr's influence. The man is approaching 8% in the polls, I believe.

If the republicans are afraid of losing support to a third-party libertarian candidate, maybe they should have floated a better candidate than McCain. He's REALLY NOT presidential material.

McCain is completely and thoroughly unqualified to run the country.

That he is the nominee speaks volumes about the problems with the nomination process. It's not that his ideas are bad or that he flip-flops or that he is Bush vII; it's that he is simply not smart enough, not qualified enough.

He failed as a soldier (shot down and captured), he failed as a husband ('til death do us part?), and I've yet to hear of him successfully running anything. Does this a presidential candidate make?

Democrats do not understand this? Imagine if, oh, Ed Rendell, Tony Strickland, or Dianne Feinstein were to run as a "Third Party" candidate. Think of the potential problem.
