I love it! I wonder how this declaration sets with the Great GW. I would have loved to see his face. How many seconds did the steam continue to come out of his ears? And Cheney! A wonder he wasn't rushed somewhere with a heart attack. And how did Rumsfield react. And Condo Rice-cakes after saying she was proud of the Iraq invasion.

"....Dumya has failed at everything except letting big business do whatever it wants!"
That was the goal all along. So what if more than 4000 Americans died (including one of my daughter's childhood friends)? God only knows how many Iraqis died. The end result will be regional hegemony for Iran. Of course the Sunni Arab states will oppose this so I wouldn't be surprised if we see a wider war in the Middle East. The higher energy prices W and Cheney wanted won't matter if the economy drops further down the tubes. Bigger morons have never been in power in this country. In fact I think they are criminally negligent and should face trial.

Many years ago a gentleman from England explained the difference between the British and the Americans to me. He said that the British would go and conquere and rape and then go home were as the Americans would go and conquere, rape and stay. With this story I will be allowed to see if he was indeed right.
Your country believes in the rights of people to determine their own destiny as long as they do not infringe on the rights of others, I wonder if the same standard will be granted to the country of Iraq. After what the People of Iraq have suffered through they should be allowed to determine their own fate and for some strange reason I feel that sanity will prevail.

Bush did say he wanted the Iraq government to become strong enough to stand on its own.
It looks like the Iraq government is now standing on its own and walking away from us.
Bush should be proud seeing his created little offspring taking its first few steps on its own! I can practically hear him shouting to Cheney - Hurry, Dickie! Get the video camera. Our baby is finally walking on its own.

If I were Dubbya, I'd fly infront of a camera, shout three words, "IRAQ IS SECURE!", and, CRAM as much men and equipment into cargo jets as was possible to FLY them out of Iraq before that knucklehead changed his mind and told us to stay longer. I'd play down whatever surge of suicide bombings and civil war that might result FROM such a departure, and say, "Hey, but the guy SAID we're no longer NEEDed! I beIEVE him! We're finally victorious!" SURE the enemies of America would run with it and declare it as a defeat, but, hell, I say, LET them! I'd then carry a bannor about with a Maliki quote saying, "You're no longer needed." I'd use that as a plaque for whenever the Libs cried and sobbed with, "But you BASTARD! People are now setting off bombs in pet stores, and slitting each other's throats by the MILLIONS in Iraq now!" I'd just hold up that sign and point at the quote.
