  McCain also missed that vote on the Kyl-Lieberman amendment on September 26, 2007. Records show that McCain was in New York instead of being in the Senate chamber for the vote in question.

  In fact, McCain hasn't voted on anything in the Senate since April 8, 2008.

  McCain now ranks as the #1 most absent senator of the 110th Congress, having missed 61.8 percent of the votes.

  He even beats Sen. Tim Johnson (D-SD), who took several months off while recovering from a brain hemorrhage.

  McCain even missed the vote earlier this week on the new FISA bill. Meanwhile, Obama WAS there, and he voted FOR 3 amendments - that were defeated - that would have stripped from the bill or limited in the bill the immunity of the telecomms.

  McCain's absence from the Senate chambers for over THREE months makes his criticism of Obama the HEIGHT of hypocrisy.

    McCain's unaware that the Presidency is NOT a part time job!!! His lack of a voting record is my biggest pet peeve. Why is he even a Senator? What is wrong with Arizona? How can the Republicans support this joker?

  If elected, one could make the point that McLame would take a serious run on dumbya's record for taking the most time off as President. More proof that he is just a puppet on strings.

  Gotta love this bit of hypocrisy. You know that if Obama had missed as many Senate votes as McCain has, he'd be getting it from the right-wingers (FOX, Drudge, Limbaugh, Hannity, etc.).

  I'd ask if they had no shame, but that question was answered many years ago.
