The Congressional Budget Office projects a deficit of $443 billion in 2013 if President Bush's tax cuts are extended, as Mr. McCain wants. But Mr. McCain is proposing far more tax cuts.

Yes. It would also require the government to stop building and maintaining roads, bridges, water purification, food safety inspections, and several hundred other things that even you couldn't even imagine living without.
And even so, McCain's economic plan would pay down the debt much slower than Obama's.
