Everybody heaved a great sigh of relief when the "Democrats" were back in power, but things quickly returned to business as usual. The rich get richer, the poor and middle class get poorer and the government gets still more power to do as it wills.

You think the billof rights means anything when the average CEO makes 350 times what the average employee makes?

Take the bill of rights and wipe your arse with it. There is no bill of rights.

The only thing that matters, is there is about 2000 people on the planet with all the money and power. When those people control the media, its game over for democracy.

In other words, its GAME OVER.

not sure if that's the point that the author was making - just that we need a government that follows the Constitution and bill of rights.

      I agree.

Our country is suffering with a terrible decease.

We are killing innocent people and our own patriotic service men and woman for our corporate masters.

We are lied to daily by those same corporations that control our newspapers and television.

Bush and Cheney are a cancer which must be removed.

The head of a business should make any salary that he wishes to make. It's his business.

It is Socialism to take it away from him and give it to the less fortunate.

If you did that there would be even fewer jobs in the country.

There would be no incentive to succeed.

It never worked anywhere else and it won't work here either.

automan, you have a point, but what burns me about that position is that over the last 10-15 years, the workers salaries have been steadily decreasing while the CEO is making more money for the stockholders by robbing the workers of their labors worth. And outsourcing work to get a cheaper cost.

I worked for a company some years ago that went to Singapore to find Male heads of households to set up in a mom and pop business.

My company would furnish everything to this head of house except for the labor. His family would furnish that. He would have his kids working. They didn't get a salary but they were just kids.

People in the United States couldn't compete with child labor who recieved nothing for their work except the right to eat at the family table. The company's profit soared.

I don't see this as an admirable trait, and my old company is multiplied by the thousands.

Good automan, so I assume you wouldn mind working for 2 dollars a day and watching your children starve, just like Carnagie did when he ran his steel mills, taking advantage of immigrant labour, paying below a livable wage, then paying pinkerton guards to beat and kill strikers and burn their homes.

Of course, you are playing the republican brown shirt game, you hate laborers, and want to be the brown shirt management for the moguls, that's why your spouting your capatilist haratio alger crap like its a religion, and it is.

Vote republican, to promote AM to a policy making position in McSenile's war room, probably in charge of destroying the 9% of the workforce that is still union, still interested in working for a living wage.

2 dollars a day AM, that's what you deserve. That's what 1/3 of the planet survives on, while we spend trillions to keep it that way, because you think Socialism and a living wage is evil.
