FTA:
That's what conservatism used to mean - and it's what George W. Bush promised as a candidate.
LOL, old Dubya lied everytime he opened his mouth, and is still force feeding cons in this country more of the same, many of them, ON HERE, are still buying his BS, hook, line and sinker.
Good article, conservatives with any common sense would feel the same way, without having to be reminded daily of the failed presidency we have had to endure for the last 8 years. They should be glad for anything that even remotely offered change, but they won't. Plus, they will curse any democratic president who puts the country back on track, and praise any republican who destroys it. They are shameless.

What I find utterly dumbfounding is that some of the so called conservative Republicans that slammed McCain during the Republican primaries have done a complete flip flop 180 with half gainer and now say they will vote for him even though
they feel they cant trust him. THEY CANT TRUST HIM! Go figure.

It's amazing, but you know what? I KNEW they would vote for McCain if he won the primary. I knew they would NEVER cross a party line. I could run, and SAY i was a republican, and they would vote for me. As long as there is an R behind the name, it's all good with them.
They called McCain every name in the book while they were praising Romney, Thompson, and even Biden, NOW McCain is the MAIN MAN! It's sickening, and one of the reasons i haven't been participating much on Prop lately, that and the fact that management won't do anything about the abusiveness of the majority of the cons on here.
Many of them also said they would vote for Obama before they would vote for McLame, (their words), now Obama is every name in the book. It makes me sick.

Thanks for the invite, spkguy.
I have two good friends who are true conservatives and they are open to the idea of voting for Barack. True conservatives should not be lumped into the category of narrowminded neocons who have usurped the real meaning of what conservativsm once stood for.
I am not nor have I ever been a conservative, but that does not mean that there are not those conservatives who care deeply about this country including their fellow Americans -- many of whom are liberals. We don't hear enough from conservatives like this who can disagree with liberals respectfully and accept the rights of liberals without malice and abusive rhetoric.
