It isn't in the interest of US government to let that happen so stop dreaming.
Iran is on the hit list of US for the so called ''weapons of mass destruction''. Oh yea the same weapons that were never found in Iraq but they have been invaded anyways.
As for Pakistan, combined efforts of bush/mush busharraf have already de-stabilized pakistan and they are planning a full force attack in the north of Pakistan. So where does the pipeline comes from? Hehe.
India is the only player that can take stand but will they do it? Nah I don't think so.

Weel, you are right that the US has been trying desperately for almost a decade to build an alternative pipeline that goes through Turkmenistan and Afghanistan. The route being discussed here is from the South Pars gas field in Iran and will go directly from Iran to Pakistan (avoiding Afghanistan).
The Afghan Pipeline You Don't Know About
â;¦and speaking of oil, just when we were barely getting used to Big Oil and Iraq hitting the front pages of American newspapers in tandem, here comes Afghanistan! Who now remembers that delegation of Taliban officials, shepherded by Unocal ("We're an oil and gas company. We go where the oil and gas isâ;¦"), back in 1999, that made an all-expenses paid visit to the U.S. There was even that side trip to Mt. Rushmore, while the company (with U.S. encouragement) was negotiating a $1.9 billion pipeline that would bring Central Asian oil and natural gas through Afghanistan to Pakistan?

Oh, and who was a special consultant to Unocal on the prospective deal? Zalmay Khalilzad, our present neocon ambassador to the U.N., George W. Bush's former viceroy of Kabul and then Baghdad, and a rumored future "Afghan" presidential candidate.
Those pipeline negotiations only broke down definitively in August 2001, one month before, well, you knowâ;¦ and, as Toronto's Globe and Mail columnist Lawrence Martin put it, "Washington was furious, leading to speculation it might take out the Taliban. After 9/11, the Taliban, with good reason, were removed -- and pipeline planning continued with the Karzai government. U.S. forces installed bases near Kandahar, where the pipeline was to run. A key motivation for the pipeline was to block a competing bid involving Iran, a charter member of the 'axis of evil.'"

WMD in Iraq was to establish a norm of "self defense" that was later named as " preemptive war" it is rather "preventive war".... as for as Pakistan it is an easy target, easy to destabilize and easy to hit.. and easy to persuade a dictator..
the pipeline that can benefit a developing economy like pakistan and India will be good for all three countries since Iran is on hit list so never wants its allies to have any "LINES" with anyone who is against the interests..

Excellent post. And this is why there is war at the top of the world. Oil. Gas. The Route. And who runs it.
As hyperbola accurately says " Someday American soldiers could be dying to protect Big Oil's motherlode.
Typical Neo-Con action. Poor soldiers will probably think they are fighting to protect America.
Well that lie worked for Iraq.

The united states of EXON, USrael, one nation under the star of David, neocon zionist central, for the rich, by the rich, where every citizen just can't wait for the rapture and gladly votes to have their children die protecting big money oil. Support the exon's mercinaries, support the 3 trillion dollar Iraq nationbuilding neocon big oil zionist fantasy, cause its patriotic to give tax breaks to the CEO's of military contrasctors which have shown 200% growth over 8 years, while your children will pay 200 billion in health care for the disabled vets returning from their arabian adventure for big oil.
