Asked whether the "the situation in Afghanistan in precarious and urgent," McCain responded: "I think it's serious. . . . It's a serious situation, but there's a lot of things we need to do. We have a lot of work to do and I'm afraid it's a very hard struggle, particularly given the situation on the Iraq/Pakistan border."

    Almost feel bad for the him. From referring to non existent countries(Czechoslovakia), To thinking Putin was the president of Germany last year, to mistaking Iraq for Afghanistan, and Afghanistan for Iraq on an almost weekly basis.. His mind really is turning to mush.

      He didn't read the 57 state thing from the teleprompter. Thats why he got it wrong.

          No but he did state that since the surge worked, USA now knows how to win in Afgan; so you start a second war to learn how to fight the first
