I think this smacks of the desperation Reps all over the country are feeling right now.
Further, I think this goes to show the New Yorker's recent cover about Obama was correctly satirizing the mentality of a certain segment of America.

It's a prevailing attitude that is being shown by the conservatives now. Now that losing the election is imminent they've resorted to all kinds of dirty tricks. The Republicans are showing their true colors(or at least a sizable portion of them). I guess they hope that these continuous slimeball attacks are going to gain them sympathetic ears. To have a state Senator do this is appalling. There should be a move to start impeachment hearings immediately.
